Original, innovative, full of positive energy musically and in person, DJ and freshly started producer D’Johnny’s career has rocketed since he gave up his life in Sweden at the end of 2000 and he decided to go all the way and dedicate himself full time to music. With over 10 years of London’s club scene under his belt at the age of 32, Swedish-turned-Londoner and now Berliner has come a very long way since his debut behind the decks at the age of 15. 2001 saw the launch of his own Sunday night and brand; Club Detox that took place at ‘The Ghetto’ in Soho, central London. There he worked close with promoters and nights such as ‘Nag Nag Nag’ and ‘The Cock’. It wasn’t long until Detox had set it’s own distinctive fresh sound and D’Johnnys talent, consistent dj’ing skills and fresh sound caught London’s clubbers and club promoters attention. He quickly grabbed himself a residency at Heaven on Saturdays and started working with The Orange Group.

A few months down the line Johnny and Detox was described by Time Out and QX magazine as Sunday nights best kept secret. It turned out to be successful beyond expectation and while filling ‘The Ghetto’ over capacity it also held queues around the blocks every Sunday for over 6 years. 2005 D’Johnny was voted best London DJ by Seenqueen.com. 2006 he was runner up in the Boyz awards, again in 2008 and since then D’Johnny has firmly made his mark on the UK scene, he has held residencies/made appearances at the capitals finest clubs and has been working with promoters such as Matinee, Supermartxe, Space Ibiza, WE Party, Salvation, Orange Group UK (Fire, Beyond, A:M, Juicy, Orange, Club Colosseum, The Fridge) Trade, The Egg, Salvation UK and worldwide, The End, The Cross, Pacha, Cafe de Paris, Turnmills, Fabric and many many more. He’s distinctive sound has taken him around the globe and put him in control of the decks at places like Shanghai, Sydney, Rio, New York, Miami,Tel Aviv, Madrid, Paris, Lyon, Rome, Amsterdam and Egypt, he has played along side names like Daft Punk, Smokin’ Jo, Danny Rampling and Boy George to name a few. Today D’Johnny is resident at WE Party London. He also made his debut at La Riviera playing at the WE Party (prison of love) in Madrid for Gay Pride 2011. He holds residency with Fire/Orange Group and all their nights including Ibiza’s Club Space and Beyond. Essential Manchester, Lo Profile, Barcode plus his residencies abroad in Egypt working for byganz.com doing exclusive parties sponsored and put together by Mini Cooper, Evian, Jaguar and Moet & Chandon, he has regular guest appearances in Paris, Lyon, Italy and Spain. 2011 is set to be very big year for D’Johnny as he recently moved to Berlin to further his music production, start his fresh journey and continue work with singer and friend Peyton, producer and friend Per Qx and Dj Nibc a.k.a Tyken to take he’s dj’ing experience, skills and production to the next level.
